Brimfield Fair

My friend Stephanie and I went to the Brimfield Fair today.  We took our kids and they were troopers.  It was extremely hot and humid.  As always Brimfield was a feast for the eyes.  I absolutely love it. 

 These ceramic hands were cool looking.  O.K. maybe a little creepy too.

I love how this vendor displayed his treasures.

 I purchased some beautiful pewter beads.

And a printer drawer to store some of my beads in.

When I got home I couldn't wait to make something with my new beads.  I think this bracelet turned out pretty well.  Let me know what you think.

Back from a long break

Wow I took a long break from blogging!  My sister has been battling pancreatic cancer and I haven't felt like beading.  My sister is the most sweet, funny, intelligent, kind, authentic person you could ever meet.  She brings enthusiasm and joy into the lives of everyone she knows.  People who know and love her have asked her what they can do to help her.  She has requested that everyone attempt to be kind to others.  That tells you so much about who she is.  In honor of her request I am posting this amazing list.

Stocked the kitchen

I am so sad for the people of Japan.  I can't begin to imagine what they must be feeling right now.  My thoughts and prayers are with them.

Yesterday I went food shopping. I love when that task is completed! Today the sun is shinning and the fruit looks amazing. 

I made this necklace and bracelet today.  I'm happy with how they turned out.  I seem to have a flower theme going. 

Spring time earings

Spring is in the air.  I love the change the March sunlight brings.  Realistically I know that winter weather will be with us for a while longer.  But I can see the light at the end of the long winter tunnel.  Here are some spring time earrings that I made today. Can't wait to bead again!

I have been on a little unplanned blog hiatus.  Life gets busy!  I am anxious to create some more jewelry.  So now that the dishes are done, and the dog has been walked, I will make some time for my beady self.
       I really enjoyed browsing through the bead soup entries.  There were so many inspiring and talented artist that participated!  I am considering entering the next bead soup blog hop.  Have a wonderful day.

Handmade Glass Beads

My friend Donna Young makes the most amazing glass beads.  I saw her last weekend and we made a swap. She received a necklace and I received some of her amazing beads.  She has a website.  Check it out.

Productive day

I also took apart an old necklace that I wasn't happy with and came up with a new design.  I like this one so much more than the original.
