Productive day

I also took apart an old necklace that I wasn't happy with and came up with a new design.  I like this one so much more than the original.

Art Bead Scene Feb. Challenge


This is my necklace for the February Art Bead Scene challenge.  I am happy with how it turned out.  It was fun to use beads that I wouldn't normally pick in order to match the theme of the challenge.  I am keeping my fingers crossed.  Hopefully this will increase the traffic at my blog and in my etsy shop. 
     The pendant is from The Classic Bead.  The clasp is from Green Girl Studios.  There are shell, wood, ceramic, pearl, and Lucite beads in this necklace.  Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Katie turns ten

My baby turned ten on Friday.  Where did the time go?  I get that panicked feeling when I think about how fast my kids are growing up.  Jack my oldest will only be with us for five more years!!  I guess I need to be grateful for every minute.  Carpe Diem!!!

 We had a fun time celebrating her birthday.  Ice cream cake  YUM

 On Saturday we watched Alex.  He is my nieces three year old son.  He just had triple brothers.  The poor little guys world has changed drastically so we are giving him alot of love and attention.  He went sledding for the first time and had a blast.

I do not have any jewelry to post.  It has been a busy few days.  Hope your weekend has been fabulous.

New pendant

 I recieved my first Jade Scott pendant in the mail the other day.  It is beautiful.  I went to the bead store and purchased some beads to use with the pendant.  I am pleased with how it turned out.

     I think I might try the Art Bead Scene challenge for February.  I was in Lorelie's Fusion bead challenge and now I have followers for my blog which is so exciting.  I think entering might create more traffic for my blog and then maybe my esty store.  I also love the creative challenge.

Triplets!!!

 My niece Jennifer had Triplets!!  Two are identical twin and the other is fraternal.  They are all healthy.  Today I went to help out.  They are so adorable.  My niece also has a 3 year old boy.  OMG!!!!  Needless to say their lives have completely changed.  I brought her some tulips, soup, and of course some chocolate cake.

I made this a couple of days ago and happily sold it at work.  Wohoo.

 I also made this.  It's very simple and has the classic brown and blue combo.  One of my favorites. 

When I woke up this morning and look out my windows, the trees were coated in snow.  It looked like a winter wonderland.  Even though the snow has been relentless this year I couldn't help but appreciate how beautiful it was.

Hysterical comedian

My kids love Mario Cart.  I didn't make any jewelry today because I worked last night.  My shift at the hospital is from 7pm to 7am.  Afterwards I sleep hopefully until 1 or 2pm.  Then my kids get home from school.  No time to be creative.

The ice is finally melting

The ice damns in our gutters are finally melting.  The windows in one of our rooms has been dripping water for Three days.  My husband cleared as much snow off the roof as he could reach and then took my old pantyhose and filled them with calcium chloride to melt the ice and snow and create channels for the water to run.  Today there is no leak!!!  He is a hard worker.
